What's New? (Updated 5/12/10)
Grandprize Winners: In April, 2009, we won the Annual Vernal Equinox Photoshop Juried Show Grand Prize for "Once In A Blue Moon."
We have expanded our custom section to help customers understand the possibilities. We now have many examples showing the starting photograph along with the final image. We include examples of photo restoration, montages and paintings.
New Galleries
We have recently reorganized our galleries and website. Check the Galleries link for the new series. Our newest feminine art is in the Metaphoria, Symbols and Patterns as we have been focusing on these the past 6 months.
Check out our latest art called "Call To The Wild," "Dancer's Dream" and "Potted Woman." We went further into expressionism with these pieces and enjoyed the freedom and the results. Stay tune for what's coming next. (Thank you Jeremy Sutton for your great teachings and encouragement to take greater risks.) Our other new art paintings in our Feminine Series:
"Up In The Air," "Dancing On The Malecon," "Midnight_Samba," and "Moving On." Our newest Humboldt Bay painting that includes the entire Woodley Island Marina is called, "Autumn_Colors,_Woodley_Island_Marina."
Closed Venues
Natural
Selection, where we have been exhibiting the past 5 years, has closed
due to the current economic situation. We are sad to see this wonderful
venue close but wish them the best in their new Oberon Restaurant business
in Old Town.
Another sad closing was our ongoing exhibit of our Feminine Series previously seen at Bliss Lingerie in Eureka. They closed at the end of October, 2009.
New Venue:
Shorelines
Gallery, 434 2nd Street, Old Town, Eureka.
We are pleased to have found a home for our Old Town and Bay
Paintings. In addition, we occasionally hang new paintings in the foyer on Arts'
Alive.
Feminine Archetypes:
We will be exhibiting our newest series of the Feminine at North Sole Footwear, 407 2nd Street in Old Town, Eureka, for the months of April and May and at Moonshine Herbs, Arcata, for the months of July and August, Westhaven Center For the Arts in Trinidad during the months of September and October and at Good Relations, Eureka, Nov. - Dec. We will be adding new art pieces at each show as we continue on our journey of the archetypes.
We continue to have paintings and prints for sale and will be producing new ones. Call us if you have an interest in seeing what we are doing or visiting our home gallery.
We also offer replicas of our original art, beautifully reproduced with a glossy finish on magnets for display on magnetically-sensitive surfaces such as your refrigerator. These can be purchased by calling us. We also offer cards of our work with a minimum order of 12 assorted or all the same.
